During the Concept Design phase we discuss the best building methods and materials for your dream home.
This will be influenced by your design, and your budget. We build in brick veneer, double cavity brick and all modern cladding materials. Horizon Homes provides you with expert advice on the pros and cons of all the various building methods so you can make an informed decision.
We pay particular attention to designing homes that are comfortable to live in all year round. That means we carefully consider solar orientations, airflow and choice of building materials in each design. We’ll provide you with information on a range of options such as glazing, insulation, solar energies and ceiling fans. It all creates a home that is easy to heat and cool and provides a comfortable, peaceful environment to live in. It’s part of every design.
WHAT WE BUILD
Duplexes
Yes, we design and build duplexes. We take the same care and build our duplexes to the same high standard as our single family homes.
Difficult blocks
If your block is an irregular size, if you have a small or narrow block, or if you have a significant slope, it’s not a problem. Because all our homes are custom built, we can accommodate difficult blocks.
Knockdown rebuilds
We’re knockdown rebuild specialists. That means you can build your dream home on your existing block. We will take care of the approvals, and the demolition.
Granny Flats
We design and build granny flats, if we are building a house at the same time.
We do not build granny flats in isolation.
Basements
Yes, we build houses with basements and underground parking
